Description :
  • Deep understanding and experience of complex transformation strategy and design of associated business, data and technology architecture and requirements to enable the transformation strategy
  • Set up the PMO stream – process, templates, cadence
  • Continuously engage various stakeholders (e.g. various internal stakeholders, program leads, 3rd parties, etc.) to ensure that all parties are informed, aligned, and supportive of the program's objectives and methods
  • Ensure that the program adheres to all internal and external regulations and guidelines
  • Oversee the program's schedule and budget to ensure delivery is seamless. This also includes tracking and reporting on the program's progress and financial performance
  • Manage the project plan – track progress, and milestones, adjust as needed
  • Manage the meeting cadences for the program – daily stand-ups, weekly team meetings, quarterly executive reporting, etc.
  • Manage the risk log of the program: identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks associated with the delivery, escalate as appropriate
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the program, ensuring that processes run smoothly, efficiently, and effectively
  • Manage team communications to keep the broader team informed on the program's progress, challenges, and successes
  • Documentation management – prepare formal progress reports, and deliverables that require approvals, develop a shared site structure for the team and ensure compliance with document management guidelines
  • Periodically review and refine the PMO practices, process and templates, looking for ways to improve its efficiency, effectiveness, and compliance (at each major phase)
  • Regular and ad hoc reporting on the program's performance to various audiences. Ensure that reports are accurate, timely, and transparent
  • Address, resolve, and escalate any conflicts or disputes within the program or with subcontractors
  • Ensure all team members are properly on and off-boarded
  • Maintain an integrated resourcing plan, and work with HR to recruit as needed (replacements, etc.)
  • Maintain a positive team environment and consistent engagement for the duration of the program
Requirements :
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, public administration, or a related field
  • Experience with Government Operations: Familiarity with the federal government's budgeting, procurement, and auditing processes will be very beneficial
  • Experience managing large scale programs – teams of + 100, subcontractors, >$50M
  • Ability to work, communicate and collaborate with a diverse team and range of stakeholders
  • Can operate seamlessly in an ambiguous environment
  • Financial acumen: budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and auditing
  • The ability to dissect complex issues and provide solutions is crucial
  • Being great with Excel will be an asset but not a must
  • A solid moral compass and commitment to transparency and ethics
  • Ability to negotiate effectively to reach a resolution will be beneficial.
  • Attention to detail is crucial
  • Some travel may be required
